I made a thing in GDevelop for their Big Game Jam #8
It started out with the intention of being a type of MOBA game...but then it sorta became a movement sim of sorts...and now it is in it's "Clicker" era.
I 100% rushed some 'gameplay' into the mix here at the end just so I could say I submitted a 'game' heh.
I'd love some feedback but please don't judge to harshly. This was a learning experience for me and WOW did I learn a lot.
And so...you are the big tower on the left and the bad guys are on the right. Red bad. Green good. Your troops march to the bad guy tower and theirs to yours. The small towers start out in enemy control but (And here is my theme stuff ;P) you can TAKE CONTROL of the small towers from the enemy. Watch out though as the enemy can TAKE CONTROL right back! The 'game' part is the three "buttons" in the top left. Clicking any button starts a timer in which none of the buttons can be pressed again for a second. The first button increases the speed of newly spawned troops. The second button increases the number of spawnable troops. And the third button is meant to make the troops shoot more often but now that I am typing this out I think I have the math backwards so clicking that button will actually add more time between shots instead of the reverse. Ah well...
Anywho, there is no end to this game. Shooting the big towers doesn't do anything. Only the small towers and soldiers can be 'hit'.
In closing, I've been having fun with this project. It just so happens that PIGSquad have a game jam going on this month set up for 'finishing a project' so I am just going to keep this one going for that jam as well.
